એક હૃષ્ટપુષ્ટ યુવાન જીવન કાકાની ઝુંપડી આગળ ગાડી લઈને ઉભો રહ્યો .જીવન કાકાની આંખોમાં હવે ચહેરા ઓળખી શકે તેટલી તાકાત તો રહી જ ના હતી અને રહે પણ ક્યાંથી પંચોતેર વર્ષની આસપાસ ની ઉંમર થઈ ગઈ હતી.

જીવન કાકાની હાલત અત્યારે જે ગરીબીમાં વિતે છે તેવી હાલત પહેલા ના હતી વર્ષો પહેલાં જીવન કાકાને એક મસ્ત હવેલી હતી ભાઈઓ, ભાઈઓની વહુઓ હતી જીવન કાકા પોતે પરણ્યા ના હતાં.

જીવન કાકા એ સમયે આર્થિક રીતે સધ્ધર હતાં ત્યારે તેમના ખેતરમાં મજુરી કરતો ફુલો ખુબ જ ગરીબ તેને ચાર સંતાનો મોડ મજુરી થી પેટનું પુરું થતું. ત્યાં બીજી તો વાત જ શી કરવાની ત્યારે ફુલો આ ચાર સંતાનો અને તેની પત્નીને લઈને ખેતરમાં કામ કરવા આવતો. જેમાં ફુલાનો મોટો છોકરો પણ ખેતરમાં કામ કરી તેમનું કામ ઓછું કરી આપતો.

એક વખતે જીવન કાકાની નજર પડી એટલે તેમને ફુલાને બોલાવી કહ્યું કે અલ્યા ફુલા તું આ બાળકોને આ ભણવાની ઉંમરે કામ કરાવે તને શરમ આવતી નથી. ત્યારે ફુલાએ કહ્યું માલિક અમે ગરીબ માણસનું મોઙ મોઙ પેટનું પુરું કરીએ ત્યાં ભણાવીએ ક્યાંથી ?

જીવનકાકાએ કહ્યું કાલથી તું આમને શાળામાં મોકલજે જે ખરચ થશે એ હું આપીશ.પરંતુ તુ આ બાળકોને ભણાવ.જીવનકાકાએ બધો ખર્ચ આપી ફુલાના બાળકો ભણાવ્યા. સમયનું ચક્કર ફર્યું અને જીવન કાકા તો પરણેલા ના હતાં ભાઈઓની વહુઓ જીવન કાકાનું ઘડપણ થોડું વેઠે માટે રોજ જુદા જુદા દોષ કાઢીને તેમને ઘરની બહાર કાઢ્યા. જીવન કાકા ખેતરને એક ખુણે ઝુંપડીમાં હવે ગરીબીમાં પોતાનું ઘડપણ વિતાવે છે.

જીવન કાકાએ આંખો પર હાથ ફેરવતા ફેરવતા પેલા યુવાનને પુછ્યું અલ્યા ભાઈ તું કોણ છે એતો કહે ત્યારે પેલા યુવાને કહ્યું કાકા મને ના ઓળખ્યો, હું તમારા ખેતરમાં વર્ષો પહેલાં કામ કરતા ફૂલાનો મોટો છોકરો જીવન કાકાને તરત ઝબકારો થઈ ગયો. તેમને કહ્યું હા બેટા ઓળખ્યો તને બોલ કેમ આટલાં વર્ષો પછી આવવું પડ્યું, ત્યારે તેને કહ્યું કે કાકા હું તમને લેવા આવ્યો છું.

હું તમારા કારણે ભણ્યો ગણ્યો અને અત્યારે મોટો સાહેબ છું તો બધા આજે ગુરુ પૂર્ણિમા ના દિવસ હતો તો બધા પોતાના ગુરુ ને મળવા જાય ગુરુ દક્ષિણા આપે તો હું પણ આજે તમને મળવા આવ્યો.ગામ માં આવ્યો તો બધી ખબર પડી માટે સીધો જ અહિયાં આવી ગયો.

મને કાકા શિક્ષણ ભલે ગુરુ એ આપ્યું હોય પણ એ શિક્ષણ નું પ્રથમ પગથિયું તમારી મદદથી ચડ્યો છું માટે મારાં માટે તો ગુરુ દક્ષિણા નાં પ્રથમ હકદાર તમે છો.જેને મારા તેમજ મારા પરિવારના ખરાબ સમયમાં સાથ આપ્યો હતો.હવે તો મારે દક્ષિણા આપવી જ નથી પરંતુ કાકા તમને જ મારા ઘરે લઈ જવા છે એ જ મારી આપેલી સાચી ગુરુ દક્ષિણા.

જીવન કાકા ની આંખોમાં આંસું છે પરંતુ ખુશીનાં બન્ને જણ ગાડીમાં બેસે છે ગાડી શહેર તરફ જવા લાગી.
