સાચી સફળતા – બહાર નહીં, અંદર છે!
આજના સમયમાં આપણે સફળતાને માપવા માટે પૈસા, પદ અને પ્રતિષ્ઠાના માપદંડો રાખી દીધા છે. જો કોઈ વ્યક્તિ પાસે મહેલ જેવું ઘર હોય, મોંઘી કાર હોય, નામી કંપનીમાં ઉચ્ચ પદ હોય – તો આપણે તરત કહી દઈએ, “વાહ! ખૂબ સફળ છે!”
પણ શું આ જ સફળતાની સાચી વ્યાખ્યા છે?
સાચી સફળતા એ છે જ્યારે તમે અંદરથી ખુશ હો.
કારણ કે દુનિયામાં લાખો એવા લોકો છે જેમણે બધું મેળવી લીધું – પૈસા, પદ, પ્રસિદ્ધિ – પરંતુ તેમ છતાં રાત્રે શાંતિથી ઊંઘી શકતા નથી. તેમના મનમાં ચિંતા, તણાવ અને અશાંતિનો ભાર છે.
એવી સફળતા એ માત્ર દેખાવ છે, હકીકત નહીં.
ખરેખર જોઈએ તો સફળતા એ છે –
જ્યારે તમારી અંદર સંતોષ હોય
જ્યારે તમને તમારી જાત પર ગર્વ હોય

જો તમે મજૂરી કરો છો અને દિવસના અંતે ઘરે આવીને બાળકો સાથે મીઠી વાતો કરો છો, પતંગિયા જેવું હસતાં-ખેલતાં ભોજન કરો છો – તો તમે સાચા અર્થમાં સફળ છો.
અને જો તમે મોટા IAS Officer છો, પરંતુ આખો દિવસ તણાવમાં છો, પરિવાર સાથે સમય વિતાવી શકતા નથી, અંદરથી ખાલીપો અનુભવો છો – તો એ સફળતા નથી, એ એક બંધ પિંજર છે.
જીવનનો અર્થ માત્ર “કેટલું મેળવ્યું” એ નથી, પરંતુ “કેટલું માણ્યું” એ છે.
પૈસા જરૂરી છે, પદ પણ સારું છે – પણ એ બધું માત્ર સાધન છે, અંતિમ લક્ષ્ય નથી. લક્ષ્ય એ છે – ખુશ રહેવું અને ખુશ રાખવું.

जणू आठवणींच्या गल्ल्यांत भटकतात।
हवेत मिसळलेला तो सुगंध मातीचा,
