मिस्र के मुफ्ती डॉ. अली जुमा ने अपनी पुस्तक धर्म और जीवन- आधुनिक दैनंदिन फतवा में लिखा कि पैगम्बर मुहम्मद के साथी उसका पेशाब पीने में खुद को धन्य समझते थे। एक हदीस के हवाले से पेशाब पीने की एक घटना का वर्णन किया गया। हदीस में कहा गया है: उम्मे-एमन ने रसूल का पेशाब पिया और रसूल ने इस औरत से कहाः 'अब दोजख की आग में तुम्हारी अंतड़ियां नहीं खिंचेंगी, क्योंकि इस पेशाब में अल्लाह, उसके रसूल का अंश है...
अल जुमा ने फतवे में कहा, 'यह सबाब रसूल के लार, पसीने, बाल, पेशाब या खून से भी मिल सकता है। जो भी रसूल की मुहब्बत को जानता है, वह इन सबसे घृणा नहीं करेगा। वैसे ही जैसे एक मां अपने बच्चे के पाखाने से अशुद्ध नहीं होती। ऐसे ही उस रसूल, जिसे हम अपने पिता, बेटों और बीबियों से अधिक प्यार करते हैं, की इन चीजों से कोई गंदा नहीं होता। यदि किसी को रसूल की इन चीजों में बदबू आती है तो उसे अपने विश्वास को फिर से जांचना चाहिए।
