Here, first we will define certain terms for clarity:
Illiterate: does not know how to read or to write.
Literate: can read and/or write.
Educated: has a formal degree, at least one.
Uneducated: does not have a formal degree.
Sensible: illiterate or uneducated but has some common sense, and is socially sensitive.
Non-sensible: even literate and educated, but has no common sense, and is socially insensitive.
So, we in our society need people who are more sensible, irrespective whether they are educated or not, illiterate or not.
Any community and society that have more such sensible denizens would be much more productive and progressive rather than other societies wherein there might be lots of highly so called 'educated' people, but are socially insensitive; I have myself seen and observed lot of such careless, and insensitive persons in my area of residence and even in my area of work at my job place; who never bother to adhere to simple principles of waste, noise/disturbance, and work/ ethic management.
Examples:
1. Some staff members (highly educated ones) used to throw the left overs from their lunch boxes from their rooms through the windows, and these attracted monkeys in the office rooms, and these in turn threw away our files and books in search of more food.
2. Despite lots of opposition, and even requests, the highly educated residents of an appartment building behind my house are throwing garbage everyday on unauthorised places, in the vacant site.
3. Many owners when they get some repairs-work done for their houses leave the dumps of discarded material for months in the locality, and never get it removed or cleaned, and the stuff then flows in the trenches during rainy seasons, and creates blockage, and in turn the material flows into the neighbors' drinking water sumps.
