I am really grieved to know that my jijaasaa, Shree Jitendrasinh Arjunsinh Rahevar, from Ranasan, Gujarat, is no more. He was the husband of my cousin sister Mrs. Induba Amarsinh Raol, from Mansa.

He had M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, a difficult branch to study. He worked in Sarabhai Chemicals, Baroda until he retired, of course some decades ago.

He was a very simple human being and nearly ego-less individual. He was very sincere, and hardworking scientist-chemist and worked deligently. He was also posted abroad for some weeks for operation of some chemical process in which he had gained mastery, and expertise.

Whenever I happened to stay with him, and when he was alone, he would make food of my choice. He was humble, not of demanding kind, too simple in his living style, and was very honest person.

My wife often used to say: our jijaasaa is like a 'God', which is not at all an over statement.

My marriage function took place in Vadodara, then in 1972 it was called Baroda, in a small chaultry, and that time I was in his house for a few days, and my small procession in a jeep to the chaultry started from my this jijaasaa and jijaa's house; for which I would be always grateful; after my marriage was over by 2:00 am in the early morning, I stayed in their house in Dr. Kama's gali (street).

I was somewhat lucky to do some service to him, in the hospital, wherein he was admitted after a jeep accident, luckily he had been saved, and he recovered.

He was always polite, with minimal demand for himself, and he took immense care of my sister and their two children: one son, a daughter who are very well settled.

He was an individual who even, the enemies would love, of course his behaviour and manners were such that he, perhaps, had no enemy.

I would certainly miss him.

May his soul rest in peace.

May almighty give extra strength and courage to his family members to bear this great loss of an extraordinarily humble guardian of theirs.
