It was a dream of our earlier president of the country Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, that by 2020, we would have become, a nearly fully developed nation, may be like any one of the developed countries in the world.
I feel that as yet it has not happened, may be partially we can blame on Covid19, but definitely not fully, because pendemic happened only last year, so in earlier decades lot of development should have happened.
Unless and until, the benifits of any programs reach each and every citizen of the country, we cannot claim the country is a developed nation, and it is so obvious from the present situation, that such a thing of benefits has not occurred for millions of people in our country.
May be we should honestly agree that it might take some more decades to consider ourselves as a fully developed nation.
Let us take a problem oriented approach rather than fully optimistic path, since in the latter we might become complacent, rather than being constantly alert and active.
