A BATTERED SPIRIT
How casually n indifferently we say, "there was yet another
rape ;
Without feeling the pain, we just make a casual statement on tape.
Unbothered we are, because our own are safe n in a good shape;
Imagine can you, if someone your daughter, tries to undrape !
It tears apart not just a girl's body; but shatters her mind n spirit into bits.
Flogged the culprits should be; a death sentence them truly befits;
For nothing less than that, these rich, powerful monsters would hit.
This heinous crime they commit n with their power n money a false story knit.
When this happens, it adds insult to injury n under an excruciating pain she reels
That's why this a woman's spirit shatters n batters; to die would be better, she feels.
Unable to bear this humiliation, she herself into self imprisonment seals.
Her tattered body, mind n spirit with this harsh reality, seldom positively deals.
I implore, every Mother her son should teach, to a girl respect.
It is an absolute must to have a correct mindset on this aspect.
And teach we must all, our daughters about its horrible impact.
How to safeguard themselves, be they of any age, or belong they may to any sect .
LET'S PRAY THE LORD IN US GOOD SENSE INSTILS.
