Preachers speak from tradition, not from lived experience. The result is a religion that quotes revelation but forgets observation.
The wisdom of ancient saints still carries light, but their words lose meaning when recited without understanding. Each generation must rediscover truth in its own language. Living spiritually today may simply mean living attentively — being awake to one’s own thoughts, actions, and quiet moments.
Self-development does not arise from strict rules or ornate rituals. It unfolds through awareness in ordinary life — while eating, speaking, laughing, or walking alone. Real joy and peace are not prizes to earn but states to notice. Perhaps that is the only faith still alive: the one that begins within.
