My Childhood diaries speak a lot,
How naughty a kid I was.
Boundless were my tiny thoughts,
No reason or no cause.

I had broken many a glass,
Many a toy I ruined.
I vexed my teachers in the class,
Like a whirling wind.

Though I pestered people harsh,
Though I fooled around.
They had always loved my scars,
Ignorant of the bound.

My naughty days of childhood life,
Still do make me smile.
Here I am a man of strife,
Crossing all those miles.

Special moments we do count,
Naughty phase of life.
We do grow up paramount,
Amid unending gripe.

સુર નહિ કોઈ સ્વર નહિ નહિ ભાષામાં શણગાર,
શાળા પાઠ સુઝે નહિ પાઠે પાઠે થાય હાર,

સગપણ લોહીના જાણું નહીં ને તોયે છે એ અપાર,
સત્ય ઉતર મળે નહિ ને સવાલ છે અપરંપાર,

અર્ધાંગી કોઈ બને નહિ ને પાથર્યા પ્રેમ ક્ષણવાર,
મૃગજળ જેવા જીવનમાં કોઈ સચોટ નહિ કિરદાર,

આજીવિકા કરી કઈક નહિ આવક નો કોઈ વાર,
હાથકસબ કોઈ મળે નહિ પગ ખેંચે વારંવાર,
