Lately, due to ethical and moral decline in some quarters of medical practice, a good number of people seem to be losing faith in certain medical professionals and a few doctors. Often, the health reports and lab reports are tampered with, to earn more money.
As a result, the tendency to get a second opinion is increasing. If anything happens as regards to serious ailments or illness, first a patient would ask his/her friends and relatives to know who is expert and trustworthy doctors.
Under such circumstances, people cannot be blamed entirely for trying to get authentic information from whatever source is at hand, and easily available; and Google baba is very handy, and ready to oblige.
However, people don't understand the complexities involved in a particular disease, and treatment which differs from person to person. Actually, everything comes to winning back the trust of such patients.

I myself, in case of doubt, and if my issue is a bit serious, take advice from 2 to 3 doctors; two from my organization's health clinic, and one from an independent doctor.
