જાગતો ઉઠતો દોડતો પડતો
સૂતો કરતો હું આમ કરું,

હસવું રડવું ફરવું ખાવું,
જીવવાનું તો હું ક્યારે કરું,

વિચાર્યું સમજાવ્યું હુફાવ્યું મનાવ્યું,
કલમ આપી લખવાનું કરાવ્યું,

મથતા કરતા મળ્યું એવું નજરાણું,
મૂકબધિર હું, છતાં શબ્દ મારા છે કટાણું,

મૂકતા કલમ કહું પહેલાનું,
શોધો જવાબ, જે કોઈ સવાલ વિનાનું.
