The bigger picture
The customer was perplexed on reading a pamphlet on the wall of the stationery shop which said:
Don’t make them poorer by investing in their business,
If you really wish to help, give them a chance,
Teach them a skill; give them a job,
Giving alms will not solve the poverty,
But a chance to earn rightfully, shall.
-A rescued beggar
The shop owner said ‘Somebody just gave me a chance!’ indicating the stationery shop.
The same customer passed two beggars without paying alms.
‘Business is going down, will have to send chotu to that free school.’ the beggar shrugged.
