4. Jab Jab Phool Khile: Now is the time to visit the golden era!!! All-time classic and one of the most favorite albums, Jab Jab Phool Khile. There is no song in this movie that has not produced magic in that era (1966). Well, I obviously wasn’t born at that time, but this was the first ever recommendation that I remember from my father, who had watched back-to-back three shows of this movie on a single day during his college years. Pick any song by the musical duo- Maestro Kalyanji-Anandji in this film; it will relate to some emotion that is completely different from others, and if it is coated with wonderful lyrics from the late Anand Bakshi, it will add a unique flavor to the song's mood. Like the nostalgia in Pardesiyo se na ankhiya Mila na, the unique excitement of love that you want to share with the world and you don’t care if they are listening, ‘Abu khuda’ is there! If you want to romance with a peaceful, gorgeous night alone, “Ye sama sama hai ye pyar ka” can be your romantic partner. Sad in love? Phikar nahi karne ka?? Touchy version of ‘Pardesiyo se na ankhiya milana’ hai na!!! If you want to convey your feelings but don’t have the courage, then get some guts from ‘Ek tha ghul aur ek thi bulbul’ Angry with hypocrites and two-face people, throw ‘Yahan mein Ajnabi hoon...’ Every song, every word, and every beat of each song takes you into some different world, even if you just close your eyes and listen to it. Some music is so timeless that you feel nostalgic even if you don’t belong to that era. This was the transitional time of the golden era of music and a storm of Kishore Kumar was knocking on the door.

5. O Rangeele: And in the end, this poetically penned, soulfully sung, and passionately pictured masterpiece from Kailash Kher’s album. It depicts the journey of a common man; it can be a film director having some relationship clash, a music attendant who is a keen music aspirant, or a simple chai-wala who doesn’t own big dreams but just enjoys each moment and each activity like a pleasant dream. How each of them finds their own destiny and dream with each of their different qualities (Chaiwala’s evergreen happy mood, the music attendant’s passion for music, and the film director’s perfection and sincerity) is fantastically shown in this refreshing cocktail. An awesome energetic song that can recharge our bit ‘drained battery’. Listen to this anytime in the day; a unique, enthusiastic hormonal effect will be felt for sure.
