2. Mahamaya: Some musicians are special as they don’t need ‘words’ (lyrics) to convey their message. A super genius son of a genius father, Rahul Shivkumar Sharma is one of them. There are a number of metaphoric, melodious instrumentals in his musical knapsack. How a journey of spiritually aspired ascetic leads to self-realization by facing all the deviations and distractions from an extremely gorgeous, vibrant, and tempting ‘Mahamaya’ (as a metaphor for ‘Maya’). His initial inclination towards her, his firm decision, her restlessness to gain his attention, and finally her dissolution (the disappearance of Maya) led to his Nirvana. Each and every beat of the song is just astonishing. Starting with slow motion, then attaining high and fast pitch, then again small, sweet beats of Santoor at the start of his penance, depicting the transformation in his inclination towards inner peace, followed by an extremely high and sharp pitch for showing her impatience to get back his attention. Finally, the dispersion of all the beats of energy portrays her dissolution into the air like smoke. A true gem!!!

3. Stay: Just imagine that you and your girlfriend are rarely able to meet up. After a long break, she is able to come to your place. You both had a wonderful night together. But you both are aware that this is just a little bit of rain and that it is not going to last for long. Still, you managed to spend the best of yourself with her. Now the next morning is just about to knock. The whole night, wonderful memories of her did not want you to sleep, and also the sad picture of your separation does not allow you to wake up to see her leaving. Deep intimacy in you just wanted to make her ‘Stay’ some more time. And you admit that you want her to be with you, just like a shadow in your wake, for a new day to break. A wonderful melody from one of my personal favorite bands, ‘Poets of the Fall’. Unfortunately, no video has been shot for this track. So my deep liking for this song inspired me to imagine the fantasy of romance to capture almost all the emotions conveyed by the song.
