Food pleasures
We are such human beings who don’t eat to survive but survive to eat. So let’s start with Annapurna meditation.
Lime juice: To start a summer day with a bang, there is no cheap and effective substitute for lime juice. Very little cougar sugar, along with moderate honey bunny. A very nice, light, and energetic drink.
Buttermilk: When the sun becomes Lord Shiva doing “Tandav Leela” on our heads, buttermilk (Chhachh, in Desi) just becomes Goddess Parvati, full of affection and tenderness by healing the body and chilling the mind. If Lassi is a sweet, simple girl, then Chhachh is just her salty, spicy twin. Even for health reasons, it is highly recommended. Like gastroenteritis, vomiting, excessive formation of saliva, jaundice, and diarrhea, it is an infallible remedy for lots of health issues. Just add one spoon of Jeera with a bit of salt. Shandar masala chhachh is Taiyaar. And yes, just to add an auspicious tag, you can put one small basil petal. Mazedar….. ;)
Coconut water: In Sanskrit, the coconut tree, in some parts of Bharat, is called Kalpavriksha, which simply means it fulfills the wish of life. Truly, gratification from coconut is simply out of the reach of other man-made cold drinks. It is God’s own drink! This fruit is just a magical wonder. Don't you think so? Ok, imagine something like this: Do you find any drink in such a highly preserved “green glass”? Do you find any glass that has inner layers containing some delicious eatables (Malai)? See how much he cares about your hygiene? And the most interesting thing: a drink that is almost the same at outside temperatures. But when it goes inside, it makes it cooler.
Ice-cream: Muaaahhh…. When hot weather gives unpleasant sweat, sizzling hot, yummy dark chocolate on soft vanilla gives a scrumptious pleasure. Ice cream has always been the most popular and easy-to-get dessert. There are very few things in the world that can be extremely gorgeous, tempting, and yummy at the same time. When shyness of strawberry sauce is poured on the pink chicks of strawberry ice cream with a small cuteness of cherry on it, that temptation is simply irresistible. Just like two gorgeous sisters, there is a twin of ice cream: Ice-gola. But they are just like “Do jism (one icy and one creamy) aur ek jaan (yummy colorful flavor),” with a single objective being to generate chilled sensations in the body. While one surrenders (melts) easily, the other makes us struggle (sap)’. While one reveals its softness, the other uncovers its sharpness. While one tickles the throat, the other titillates the tongue. While one silently dissolves into sweetness, the other loudly leaves sour-sweet prints. Mouthwatering, isn’t it? The summer motto is: “When I don’t get ice cream, I scream.”
