A boatman was giving a ride to a learned scholar across the river to the next shore.
LS: Have you read the great books of Hindu literature?
BM: No, sir.
LS: You have lost half the 'water' of your life.
Boatman kept moving further.
LS: Do you know the great ancient language called 'Sanskrit'?
BM: No sir, not at all, I am always busy running my boat for my daily livelihood.
LS: You have lost full 'water' of your life.
Meanwhile, the boatman was looking at the bottom of his boat, and there was a small hole through which water was leaking into the boat, and it was gradually sinking, which was not realised by the scholar.
More and more water was coming, and then the boatman asked the scholar:
Dear scholar, do you know swimming?
LS: No, at all. Why are you asking this question to me?
BM: The boat is sinking, it will be full of water, and you can then enjoy full 'water' of your life, anyway I am jumping out right now.
The boatman swam across the river and reached the shore in a few moments, leaving his all the 'waters' to the learned scholar.
