થોડોક રહી જાય અહંકાર હૃદયમાં,
એમાંથી જનમ લેય ગુનેગાર હૃદયમાં.
આકાર હજી આંસુઓનો જેને મળ્યો ના,
કૈં દુઃખ દરદ એમ નિરાકાર હૃદયમાં.
બે આંખ મને કોઈ વખત ઓછી પડે છે,
ઊઠેય વલોપાત ઘણીવાર હૃદયમાં.
બે-ચાર હૃદયમાં જ રહો એ ય ઘણું છે,
સંસાર વસાવો ન સમજદાર હૃદયમાં.
એકાદ ગઝલમાં તો સમાવી ન શકું હું,
પીડાઓ પડી કૈંક વિષયવાર હૃદયમાં.
