Computer Science & Engineering के पाठ्यक्रम में student को बहुत से विषयों से वाकिब कराया जाता है जिसमें algorithms, programming languages, operating systems, database management systems, computer network, computer graphics और artificial intelligence मुख्य हैं.

Computer Science & Engineering की academic criterion को तीन courses/programmes में बांटा जाता है, जो की कुछ इसप्रकार हैं :
1. Diploma courses जिसमें की polytechnic diploma करना पड़ता है जो की 3 years duration का होता है.
2. UG courses जिसमें की B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree करनी होती है और जो की 4 years duration की होती है.
3. PG courses जिसमें की M.Tech (Master of Technology) degree करनी होती है और जो की 2 years duration की होती है.
इसके अलावा एक और भी higher education होता है जो की है PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree इसमें Computer Engineering के advanced level की पढाई के साथ साथ research पर ज्यादा ध्यान दिया जाता है.

ये सवाल अक्सर लोगों के मन में जरुर आता है की इस Computer Engineering Courses की eligibility criteria क्या है. चलिए इसके विषय में जानते हैं.
यहाँ मैंने कुछ basic eligibility criteria के विषय में बताया है various diploma, undergraduate और postgraduate courses के लिए :
1. 10th standard के completion के बाद, आप diploma courses करने के लिए eligible हो जाते हैं.
2. वहीँ आप 12th standard के completion करने के बाद fully eligible होते हैं किसी UG (B.Tech) programme को join करने के लिए.
3. Computer Science & Engineering के field में enter करने के लिए, आप या तो diploma या UG करना होगा, mathematics और science का होना compulsory होना होता है और वो भी qualifying examination में.
4. ठीक वैसे ही PG (M.Tech) programme को join करने के लिए Computer Science & Engineering में B.Tech करना must हैं.
5. वैसे ही PHD Program (Computer Science) करने के लिए M.Tech या B.Tech Degree का होना बहुत जरुरी होता है
