Three doctoral students for whom I was not a guide, had a terrible time:
1. The thesis was rejected by one reviewer.
* The lady sat across my table and cried.
* By my constant guidance, she reworked the thesis, then got PhD, and even became professor and the head of the department.
2. Nobody was ready to review the thesis.
* The thesis was reworked, and submitted, I gave 12 names of the reviewers, the thesis was accepted, and she got a degree, was promoted to professorship, and became head of the department.
3. Too harsh comments were given by two reviewers.
* I moderated his defense, he got the degree and then became a principal of an engineering college.
