સપનાઓને આગ લગાડી તાપી લીધું.
જીવન આખું એવી રીતે કાપી લીધું .

શબ્દોને તો સમજે છે સૌ એમાં શું છે!
મૌન બની થીજેલું અંતર માપી લીધું .

સૂર અને લય તાલ તણી તો સૂઝ નથી પણ,
ગમતું એવું ગીત કદી આલાપી લીધું .

તારે મન હું શું છું એતો તું જાણે છે,
મેં તો હૃદયે નામ જ તારું છાપી લીધું.

વર્ષો પહેલા ખોવાયું "ઉરુ" બચપણ મારું,
પાછું મળતાં હૈયા સરસુ ચાંપી લીધું .
