In the beginning we are not wise, then as we gather some experiences (and especially the bad ones), we start realizing that we have to be alert/cautious and take some proper care and actions, especially the rational ones (which come from our partial rational thinking process), and then we gradually gain confidence in our actions, and start becoming wiser, step by step; this is a cumulative process; and experiences and actions work hand-in-hand, and we become more and more wiser.

Unfortunately, in the modern times, a presumably wisest man/woman of the yester years, is nearly totally neglected; lock, stock, and barrel.

Due to the law of induction, the same fate will occur to the wisest people of today; yet it is still better to be wiser than not to be one; because this is/was fulfilling in our times, and our domains, how smaller these might be; and fulfilling means satisfaction, and this means peace of mind, which is the desire of everyone.
