A short story
Father - Son , there are two bowls of sweet rice pudding , one has two almonds on toppings and the other has none. You can choose anyone .
Son - Thinking I rarely have the opportunity to get almond , agreed to take the bowl with 2 almonds . But he was so sad and repenting after seeing 4 almonds hidden at the bottom of father ‘s bowl .
Seeing son sad , Father - What eyes always see might not be true or half true . Due to greed we decide in a hurry for some gain but never make it a practice or else you might lose the game which you have otherwise won .
Next day again he put two bowls of pudding, one with two almonds on top and other with none .
Father - Well now you decide which one you will take .I will take the other left one .
Remembering the last day's lesson , son picked up the bowl without almonds . But again he was fooled as he did not find any almonds at the bottom . Again he repented over his decision .
Father - Never rely blindly on past experience . Sometimes we are cheated by life or situations may change . Never be sad in odd situations .
Next day again father offered 2 bowls of puddings before son , one with 2 almonds on top and other none . He asked son to choose one
This time son played safe . Son - Father you are the head of the family, so you choose first . I will take what God wants for me .
Father chose the bowl with 2 almonds but son found 8 hidden at the bottom of his bowl .
Seeing son very happy ,Father - Remember , It is always better to respect elders and it pays in the long run in your life . And when you do good for someone you will surely get return in one or other form . When you can’t decide in a tough situation which is not in your control, leave it to God . God will do what is the best for you .
