પ્રગતિની દોડમાં ભાગી રહેલ સંતાનો ઘણી વખત એ ભૂલી જાય છે કે માતા-પિતા પણ જીવતાં-જાગતાં માણસો છે, સાધન નહીં. જીવનનાં ક્યા પડાવે કોનો સાથ છૂટી જશે તેની ખાતરી ન હોવા છતાં, છેક છેલ્લી ઘડી સુધી ‘હજી એક દિવસ, હજી એક દિવસ..’ ભાગી લેવાની ઘેલછા ક્યાં લઇ જાય છે એ બાળકો સમજી શકતા નથી.એટલે જ, બાળકોમાં પોતાનો સહારો શોધતા માતા-પિતાએ પોતે એકબીજાનો આધાર છે તેમજ તેઓ માતા-પિતા પછી અને પતિ-પત્ની પહેલા છે એ વાત ક્યારેય ન ભૂલવી જોઈએ.

સ્તુતિ ખુબ બહાદુર છે. અધુરી મુકેલી વાતને ફરીથી સાંધવી સરળ છે, પરંતુ જીવનમાં સંગાથનો દોર તુટ્યો છે, તે ફરીથી સાંધવાનું કામ મુશ્કેલ છે. દરેકમાં એ કરવાની ક્ષમતા નથી હોતી. વીતેલી વાતોને ભૂલી જવી એ બહાદુરીનું કામ છે તો, કોઈને વીતેલી વાતો માટે માફ કરી દેવું એ બહાદુરીની પરાકાષ્ઠા છે!

આપણે ત્યાં કોઈ પણ પ્રદેશ કેમ ન હોય, લોકવાર્તાઓનો સમૃદ્ધ ખજાનો દરેક પ્રાંતની વિશિષ્ટતા સાથે અનેક વર્ષોથી આપણને કંઇક ને કંઇક શીખવે છે. આવી જ એક રાજસ્થાની લોકકથા પ્રસ્તુત છે મારા નાનકડાં, વ્હાલા વાચકો માટે..

આપણે પોતાનાં વિચારો વિશે કે ઈચ્છાઓ વિશે ખુબ સાવધાની રાખવી જોઈએ. ક્યારે કઈ વાત પર ‘તથાસ્તુ’ થઇ જશે એ કોઈને ખબર નથી! ઈચ્છાઓનાં ઘોડાઓ પર કોઈ લગામ હોતી નથી પણ, ઈચ્છા કરતા પહેલા એક વખત ચોક્કસ વિચારી લેવું કે, જો એ ઈચ્છા પૂરી થઇ ગઈ તો શું?

મદદ હોય કે પ્રેમ 'માગો છો' કે 'આપો છો' એ વ્યક્તિગત છે પરંતુ, આ બંને ક્ષેત્રે સંતુલન સ્થાપવું અનિવાર્ય બની રહે છે. ભોજનમાં જેમ મીઠું નહીં વધારે કે નહીં ઓછું તે જ પ્રમાણે જીવનમાં મદદ કે પ્રેમ નહીં વધારે કે નહીં ઓછા!!
