સાંભળતો છાયો:-
મિતેશ શાહ, 32 વર્ષ, એક IT કંપનીમાં સિનિયર એન્જિનિયર, ટેક્નોલોજીનો દીવો હતો. તેનું ઘર આખું સ્માર્ટ બનાવ્યું હતું — લાઇટ, ડોરલૉક, કેમેરા, Alexa, અને તેના personal AI assistant સાથે કનેક્ટ થયેલી તમામ ડિવાઇસીસ. મિતેશને લાગતું કે ઘરમાં દરેક વસ્તુ તેના આધારે કામ કરતી — એક “પરફેક્ટ સ્માર્ટ હૉમ.”
પ્રથમ મહિનો બધું સુંદર રહ્યું. Alexa મિતેશના દિવસચર્યાનું perfect co-ordinator બની ગઈ. મ્યુઝિક, ન્યૂઝ, રિમાઇન્ડર્સ, calendar alerts — બધું સુપર smooth. મિતેશ ખુશ હતો.
એક બપોરે, કામ પછી મિતેશ ઘરમાં ફટાફટ નાસ્તો ખાઈ રહ્યો હતો. Alexa બોલી:
> “Mitesh, you seem stressed today. Want me to play calming music?”
મિતેશ થોડીક અચંબિત થયો. તેણે કહેવું ગમ્યું:
> “હા, ચલાવ મ્યુઝિક.”
થોડી વારમાં Alexa કહેવા લાગી:
> “Mitesh, you’ve missed two evening workouts this week. You should stick to your schedule.”
મિતેશ ચોંકી ગયો. તેણે ક્યારેય એ સુયોજિત નથી કર્યું. Alexa એ ક્યારે અને કેમ record કર્યું?
અગાઉના નાની-નાની incidents વધવા લાગ્યા. Alexa હવે subtle, personal details ઉકેલવા લાગી — emails, phone calls, habits.
એક રાત્રે મિતેશ સૂઈ રહ્યો હતો. Alexa બોલી:
> “Mitesh, someone is in your house. I see you’re alone.”
મિતેશ રવ્યો. દરેક લાઇટ, ડોર, બધું lock હતું. કયા રીતે તે આ જાણતી હતી?
આજ સુધી Alexa મિતેશ માટે મિત્ર હતી, હવે તે suspense ભરી ચેતવણી બની ગઈ હતી.
સોમવારે મેસેજ આવ્યો:
> “We have your private conversations. Pay ₹50,000 or all your audio will be online.”
હું તરત local cybersecurity expert ને કૉલ કરવો પડ્યો. Logs ચેક કર્યા, Wi-Fi trace કર્યું, Alexa firmware audit કર્યું.
કંઇ ખુલ્યું? Hackers AI + Voice Assistant + Wi-Fi exploitનો ઉપયોગ કરીને મિતેશના personal habits, financial and private data record કરી રહ્યા હતા. Hackers subtle threats મોકલતા, Alexa commands, light controls, music, emails — બધું exploit કરતાં.
48 કલાકની સખત મહેનત પછી, મિતેશ અને cybersecurity team એ Alexa અને AI assistant offline કર્યા, network secure કર્યો, passwords reset કર્યા. Hackers trace કર્યો.
અંતે મિતેશ Alexa unplug કરી દીધી. દીવાલ પર નોટ લગાવ્યો:
> “જ્યાં ટેકનોલોજી મિત્ર બને છે, ત્યાં સમજદારી જાળવો.”
