I live in countless different ways,
In myriad minds where thoughts convey.
For some I'm good, for others bad,
An ocean calm, no waves to add.
But gaze upon my surface still,
You miss the depths, the hidden thrill.
Dive down beneath my placid face,
And chaos reigns in secret place.
Below the calm, a restless sea,
Spewing gas in fervent spree.
The surface hides the storm within,
A turbulence where none have been.
They judge by what their eyes can see,
Not knowing what's inside of me.
For deep within, the currents rage,
Unseen by those who glance and gauge.
