There's this bullshit quote which goes "If you love two people at the same time, choose the second one because if you had loved the first person truly, you wouldn't have fallen for the second one" and that is toxic monogamy culture.
In One Day At A Time, Penelope says "Maybe I wasn't meant to have just one true love, maybe I was meant to have many loves" (of course that's not the actual sentence, I'm just writing from memory) and that hit me, because not everyone has a "one true love", some people have many true loves and that doesn't make any love less than another.
