Towards the technological progress of USA, several Indians might have contributed a lot, but not being in India, though.
We have done and are doing definitely lot of stuff, even at the level of technology, and in other fields, but we may not be able to compete with USA; and in many such development, I think we are still behind USA by nearly three decades.
LCA, Prithvi & Agni missiles, Dhruv helicopter, Indica & Rewa cars, and may be many more things are our developments.
And most of USA is only the people from all over the world, the migrants in any way.
