For an old man and if he/she is bed-ridden, the telephone, its ringing sound, and 'hello' from a distant friend expand his boundaries and his bed temporarily 'disappears'.
The children are requested not to question him, on how long and whom he talks, for this is a delicacy for his tounge, and the old, aging and sick person gets feeling of his existence.
