We always want to gain something:
Money, property, prestige, popularity,
Status, awards, and rewards,
And what not!
Also, we want to gain knowledge,
But, all of technical nature:
Science, society, environment,
Mostly of political nature,
And gaining pleasure from gossips!
We need yet to be real gainful,
By gaining knowledge of and for,
The self that is waiting to gain,
Our attention for eons.
There is no gain without some,
Loss here or there,
The lossfull gain, though logical,
Lossless gain is more,
Envigorating, and enduring.
Let us all endeavour to gain,
At least some knowledge,
Of the pains and pangs,
Of the poor who do not,
Get a square meal in a day,
Of the sufferings of the deprived,
Who do not have a smile on their faces,
Even, in this modern 21st century!
Let us all endeavour to gain,
True knowledge of the self,
And its spirit,
That will make us more saner,
More kind, more benovalent,
More useful to our brethren,
In the true spirit of,
Obtaining a gainful gain.
