HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY TO THE FATHER OF THE NATION & THE WORTHY LAL OF OUR NATION
Lovingly Bapu for us, "the half naked fakir," as he was, by Churchill called
And Shashtriji, who remained steadfast during the war, absolutely unappalled!
For our Nation, exemplary was their service, grateful to them we are
Strikingly marked was their simplicity, thought they were as bright as a star
May they in Heaven progress to realms higher; & receive their many blessings we
Can we in their memory today something useful do? please, can we plant a tree?
