🥛 A Cozy Winter Morning and Milk Adventures
It was a chilly winter morning, and when I woke up, I thought, “Today needs to be interesting.” I didn’t want to just stay at home scrolling through my phone or doing the usual routine — I wanted a small adventure, even if it was nearby. So I decided to go to Amul, which isn’t too far from my house, but it always feels like a little treat trip.
I bundled up in something warm and stepped out, feeling the crisp winter air on my face. The cold made me walk faster, and by the time I reached Amul, I was already excited. I grabbed a few wafers — because, of course, a little snack is a must — and then got something to eat, something simple but satisfying. And then came the main highlight: a fresh packet of milk just for me. Honestly, I love milk so much that it probably helped me grow taller — I’m literally the tallest in my family, and I like to think milk is partly responsible for that.
On my way back, I passed the usual spots where stray dogs hang out. These aren’t just any dogs — I know all of them! Cherry, Raja, and a few others come running as soon as they see me, tails wagging like little furry metronomes. I carried a little milk with me and gave each of them a small portion. Watching them lap it up so eagerly made me so happy. Some of them even did those little excited jumps, trying to get more, and it was impossible not to laugh.
After spending a little time feeding them, patting their heads, and calling out their names, I finally headed home. The warmth of home felt extra cozy after the cold morning outside. The rest of the day went as usual — some study, maybe a little reading, and relaxing — but it felt different because I had started the day with a tiny adventure, some food, and spreading a little happiness to the dogs I care about.
It’s funny how something as small as going to Amul, grabbing a packet of milk, and feeding stray dogs can make a whole day feel meaningful. Simple joys, little acts of kindness, and a bit of winter warmth — that’s what made today feel special.
