It was some time in a rainy season in Bangalore, that I went to MSRIT, since I was an emeritus professor, and had a jacket with me, and since the rains had stopped, I put it on my shoulder, and walked in a haste to the canteen, had my tea, and then reached my office on the fifth floor of the EEngg. building, and put my bag on the table, and was trying to take my jacket from the shoulder, but it was not there!
So, I soon hurried back and traced almost the same path by which I had come upstairs via the elevator, and reached upto my car, but I did not find the jacket; so it was taken away by somebody, how swiftly he/she would have done it!
I then came to my office, and when my doctoral students came to discuss regarding their research, I just told what had happened that morning with my jacket.
I used to go there only twice a week, so when I went on my next day, some of these students came and gave me a new jacket which was almost the same type, and color, and additionally presented one sweater, both of branded quality; so these must be reality costly!
I had told them it was not necessary to give me all that, and said that it was my habit to talk about even small incidents.
Since then for last one decade, I have been using these regularly in winter and monsoon; and when I am still using these two in winter in Canada now, and that I did not have to buy any extra winter clothes; I recall the gesture that my lady doctoral students had shown to me then.
