Sometimes, Silence Says Everything
Sometimes, I choose to stay silent, Not because I have nothing to say, But because the words inside my heart Get lost somewhere along the way.
There are thoughts I cannot explain, And feelings I cannot show, A thousand tears behind my smile, And a pain nobody will ever know.
My heart is tired of explaining, My mind is tired of the fight, So I hide everything behind my silence And pretend that I am alright.
Sometimes, I want someone to understand Without asking me to explain, To see the sadness in my eyes And feel the weight behind my pain.
Because not every wound needs words, Not every tear needs to fall, And not every broken feeling Can be explained at all.
So if you find me quiet someday, Please don't think that I have nothing to say. Maybe my heart is screaming inside, While my lips have nothing to reply.
