DAY 1/9 — NAVRATRI: 9 DAYS, 9 FORMS OF SAFETY EVERY WOMAN DESERVES 🌺
We worship Shakti.
We celebrate the strength of women.
But perhaps Navratri should also make us ask:
Does the woman beside us actually feel safe?
And safety is not only about whether she can walk outside alone at night.
Safety begins much closer to home.
Can she disagree with her partner without becoming afraid of his reaction?
Can she say:
“I don’t agree.”
“I don’t like this.”
“I need some space.”
“That hurt me.”
…without worrying that it will lead to shouting, humiliation, threats, silent punishment or days of hostility?
Because emotional safety is also safety.
A healthy relationship does not require two people to agree on everything.
It allows two people to disagree while still respecting each other.
A woman should not have to constantly calculate:
“What mood is he in?”
“Should I say this now?”
“Will he get angry?”
“Maybe I should just stay quiet.”
When someone repeatedly chooses silence because speaking feels unsafe, the relationship may look peaceful from outside—but emotionally, something is wrong.
❤️ Love should not make you afraid of having a voice.
This Navratri, alongside celebrating feminine strength, let us also create relationships where women do not need strength simply to survive everyday conversations.
For couples reading this:
Can both of you disagree freely and still feel respected?
Tomorrow — Day 2/9:
When “I care about you” slowly becomes control — phone checking, passwords, location tracking and possessiveness.
