What Are Emotions?
What are emotions?
Why do these emotions exist?
Where do they begin,
And by what paths do they enter our minds?
Why do we sometimes lose ourselves
While trying to understand who we are,
And sometimes, drowning in their vastness,
Drift far away from ourselves?
What are emotions,
That awaken questions within us?
Sometimes, they remain silent,
And sometimes, they find their way into words.
Some emotions need to be understood,
Some need to be expressed,
For every feeling held within the heart
Does not always depend on someone else's support.
Yet the feelings we leave unspoken,
Can they ever truly remain at peace?
Sometimes, through our behavior, sometimes through silence,
And sometimes, through our eyes, they find a way to speak.
When emotions are left unexpressed,
They begin to express who we are.
The unspoken feelings hidden within our hearts
Take shape in the way we behave.
Emotions are the heart's deepest experiences,
Expressions rising from within the mind.
Sometimes questions, sometimes answers,
Sometimes a conversation with our own selves.
Emotions are a feeling of life,
And experiencing them is beautiful in itself.
They awaken something within us,
Something the heart longs to express.
It feels good to know
That within us, too,
Exists a world of emotions.
These emotions are the ones
That bring us a sense of peace,
And introduce us to the countless experiences
That life has to offer.
Let us not allow emotions to remain mere feelings;
Let us give them a chance to become part of our lives.
Whatever we feel, let us try to understand,
And whatever we understand, let us find the courage to live.
To feel our emotions
Is to become aware of their presence;
To understand them is to discover their depth,
And to bring them into our lives
May be the foundation of understanding ourselves.
What are emotions?
Perhaps, they are the very nature of the mind—
Sometimes words, sometimes silence,
Sometimes experiences,
And sometimes,
The unspoken truth of life.
Perhaps having emotions
Is itself a beautiful part of being alive,
And being able to feel them
Is, in itself,
A precious experience.
The heart's feelings find their way
Into the words we choose to write;
And what we could never bring ourselves to say
Becomes an emotion, finding its voice.
