I have personally noticed and observed in certain families, societies, communities and sections of people, that it is customary by them to praise the mother, but it is out of tune, practice, fashion, and it is an oddity, if the same mother as a wife, is praised!

This is ironically wrong, because here then a wife (the same lady) is considered as a different entity and in most schools of thoughts and conventions, she is taken for granted: what is in that anyway she is doing her duties?, etc.; she should not be openly praised and talked about; what a dichotomy of our human minds.

Praising or appreciating our wives is considered as an act of "shun tamone tamaari patni wishe vaat karvani sharam nathi aavati"?, and so on...

Swami Sukhabodhananda had said: you should compliment your wives for providing you good food and for her hard works, at least once in a while.
