A REWARD
A neighbour kind, gave the next door children mangoes two;
Thanking her, eating them, decided they, to plant its seeds too
Wished n hoped they, one day they would, into huge trees soon grow
Due to scarcity of space, one in each compound they secretly did sow
Watered it each day, with a prayer on their lips, n their cute little hands
Soon shoots they saw sprouting; and truly hoped, they had more land
In years few beautiful trees flowered n grew, with bunches of mangoes hanging;
Besides the shade, now lovely bunches from branches were dangling.
***After years some***
Sadly the rich kind lady poor became, after her husband suddenly died
Then these thoughtful grown up kids, offered her all the mangoes; stared she with eyes wide !
Told her they, she could sell all the mangoes except the two big n best
Hopefully she would be able to pull through the crisis, for the year rest.
Those two mango seeds, with a prayer in their heart, they once again planted;
And God seeing their kindness, to them, their wish graciously granted.
*** Dear Kids***
Kids, save these seeds n wherever place permits, near roads, railway tracks, please plant fruit trees
In future, to us they return with interest will shade, fruits, rain n cool breeze.
