That they are obstacles,
To the behinders.
Where the birds would have studied?
That they fly high together,
Where the humans would have studied?
That they are troublesome to the progressive.
Where the birds would have studied?
That they gather the reeds,
For their nests,
Where the humans would have studied?
That they are hurdles to the family.
Where the birds would have studied?
That they get together in the evening,
Where the humans would have
studied?
That they wander in the late nights.
Where the birds would have studied?
That their lives are active yet stable,
Where the humans would have studied?
That they are obstacles,
To the environment.
Where the birds would have been educated?
That if Saras dies, the Sarasi weeps,
Where the humans would have been educated?
That they trouble even being,
The 'ghosts' after their deaths.

કે એક જ હરોળમાં ઉડે છે,
માણસો ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે પાછળ વાળાને નડે છે,
પંખીઓ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે એક સાથે સહુ ઊંચે ચડે છે,
માણસો ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે આગળ વધતાને અચૂક નડે છે,
પંખીઓ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે માળામાં તણખલા જડે છે,
માણસો ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે પરિવારના ને જ નડે છે,
પંખીઓ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે સાંજે એકમેકને મળે છે,
માણસો ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે અડધી રાતે રખડે છે,
પંખીઓ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જેમનું જીવન થડે થડે છે,
માણસો ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે તરુવરને પણ નડે છે,
પંખીઓ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જો સારસ મરે તો સારસી રડે છે,
માણસ ક્યાં ભણ્યા હશે ?
જે મર્યા પછી પણ ભૂત થઈ નડે છે.
