3. Wall-E (2007): A lot of animations come out, some of which go on to become hits, some of which only receive praise from critics, some of which turn out to be failures, and some of which set all-time records at the box office. But some movies become phenomena over time. One movie is second to none of all the animation movies, which will shine with a crown of being (arguably) the best animation movie ever. Personally, it is my favorite animation movie of all time. In the far future, a recycling robot named Wall-E collects and recycles the hazards on a doomed earth where there is no sign of humanity because of unfavorable living conditions. He is alone but not lonely; he has one small companion in the form of a small cockroach. As a daily ‘routine’, after working for a whole day, he comes back to his 'home', where he has collected so many interesting objects while recycling, like goggles, lighters, and some ‘adult stuff’ as well. Before getting to sleep (in hibernation mode...), he watches the video clip of “it only takes a moment” from Hello Dolly, which inspires WALL-E to dream of his dream robot girl, whom he can hold hand in hand like in the song. Then Eve lands on Earth to inspect the signs of seeds or greenery. Wall-E ultimately loses his "mechanical" heart to this super-advanced, affectionate female robot, despite the fact that she is somewhat "old-fashioned" (modeled). When she is able to locate the sign, she gets ‘turned off’ as her given agenda is achieved. So the space craft comes down to take her back. Then starts the journey of adventures, exploring space and the artificial futuristic space city in search of Wall-E’s love. The film has so many unique, lovely moments, like The first 15 minutes of the film have no dialogue. Everything is just opening slowly, taking you into a routine of WALL-E. Just like the filmmaker puts you directly into the 26th century, it puts us in sync with the movie theme. One astonishing moment is when WALL-E follows Eve on a spacecraft as it moves into space, leaving the earth's atmosphere. There is so much hazardous waste from satellites, showing how mankind achieved high-technology inventions at the cost of intoxicating Earth and space. There are a number of such moments. But it’s better to experience it with a watch. Any Disney cinema is a pure, innocent, and entertaining tonic, not just to keep our inner child alive but happy too. A true milestone from Disney...
