Significance Maghi Purnima
Lord Vishnu resides in the water of the Ganges on the day of Magha Purnima. Therefore, by simply touching it on the day of Magh Purnima, the person attains heaven
On the full moon day of the month of Magh, even the deities from Devlok come down to earth and bathe in holy rivers and confluences. The reason for this is that on this day nectar rains in the rays of the moon. Bathing with this at sunrise destroys both disease and sin.
