This is very much true, but practical realization to shun ego, to come out of wrong beliefs that are against the general understanding of humanitarian concepts, and to be bold and fearless has been very difficult for the humans; only approaching and practicing true and impartial philosophical thoughts can bring some respite to us, and help us realize that we all the humans, as well as the entire biological sphere, are cousins to each other; this may look odd, but it is, in all probability true according to the most scientific theories.
