Mathematics Day
Today is Mathematics Day,
A bright and happy, joyful day.
Numbers guide us on our way,
Helping us in work and play.
One to nine came first to all,
Big or small, short or tall.
Then came Zero, strong and bright,
India gave the world this light.
Our India gave a shining star,
Ramanujan, known afar.
He loved numbers every day,
Finding answers in his way.
Algebra and geometry too,
Trigonometry, old and new.
Every problem made him smile,
He solved them all with style.
The number 1729 became his fame,
The world still honours his great name.
His thoughts still shine, clear and bright,
Like a star that gives us light.After
Let us learn with heart and mind,
Leaving fear of maths behind.
On 22nd December, loud we say,
"Happy, Happy Mathematics Day."
