Once again, I sit alone by my windowpane,
The streets now dry after night's persistent rain.
In this place, a blend of states converge,
Now, after the rain, the world begins to emerge.
I see a building, each floor with balconies wide,
Some with luxury's touch, others where poverty hides.
Between two structures, a wall stands worn and broken,
A testament to stories often left unspoken.
An old lady chats with a younger, voices blend,
A child plays nearby, causing minor mend.
The elder notes a boy with glasses rare,
Observing them quietly, with a discerning stare.
The sky, shrouded in clouds, a muted blue,
Cars and bikes gleam on the other side's avenue.
Trees stand still, their dance by rain postponed,
A cat slumbers on a balcony, abandoned and alone.
Yet, I can't see love, hate, or life's quiet pain,
The unseen emotions that people contain.
No glimpses of affection for creatures or kin,
Dedication's depth remains hidden within.
Each floor harbors tales, intriguing and profound,
But I, from my window, can't hear a single sound
