On Friday, I noticed a woman lounging peacefully on the first level of the terminal food court. What follows is the outcome of that impolite but appreciated staring:
*****
The date is July 9, 2012.
When: in the afternoon, around 1:30
Terminal, First Floor
The subject: a youthful, vivacious woman with golden hair
I am currently witnessing the absolutely mesmerizing process of a bud blossoming into a fully mature, youthful, multicolored rose. She looks like she was programmed by a celestial biological automaton because she is so stunning. She had a charming, distinctive way of styling her hair, a laid-back demeanor, and the most timing smile imaginable. Afterwards, that charming smile turns into a lively one. Her smile turns her center of chicks into cute deep grooves (I felt like I was sinking into them), her eyes sparkle, she talks with an air of command when she is with her friends, and her flawless fair complexion gives her yellow clothes a lively, bright touch. It seems like she has either recently tied the knot or is about to, so maybe the excitement of her upcoming wedding is a big factor in this spectacular visual treat.
The phenomenon may be due to a "Friday illusion." I am ecstatic about it in any case!
Beauty is not a mathematical equation where the sum of all our body parts determines our worth. It's not just the symmetry of our faces, the curve of our hips, or the color of our eyes. We are more than the sum of our physical attributes. We are the kindness we show to others, the love we give, the dreams we pursue, and the flaws we embrace. Our beauty is in the uniqueness of our stories, the resilience we show in difficult times, and the strength we possess to overcome challenges. It's a multifaceted, ever-changing expression of our true selves and cannot be measured by a formula.
