I listened to the entire talk. It is really very well said. And I know that he had done a lot of study of science.
Unfortunately, lot of people are not used to listen to the scientific statements from religious leaders, or the philosophical utterances from scientists;
such people cannot believe that a philosopher could have studied science, and a scientist could have read philosophical books.
Some eclipses also have some effects, a lot of environmental upheavals can influence our daily chores.
If we understand that the life is all inclusive, rather than exclusive, then more peace and equanimity will prevail on this planet.
We all want real joy, but we really do not know how to do that; and we all are engaged in the activities of getting only the wordly pleasures, but these are the small parts of the joy, but not the full spectra of blissful joy.
A proper and balanced understanding of science, environment, and philosophy, that is what is needed by us and for us.
