There should be a meeting of old and senior citizens in some place periodically; and if any new union open ups, it should be considered as a pious thing; there are no efforts made in a society to maintain healthy such states of these people; though there are occasionally free meals, free treatments, and free operations for cataract; yet there is not a meet of promoting mutual friendship of this fabric of oldies.

In Mumbai, where the old parents stay with their children, the grown up children feel constriction of space, and looks as if they are secretly waiting for these old parents to go, where?! ;
and if that really happens then, these kids feel sort of relieved, this thought in the minds of old when gathers momentum, is like a curse, and the life thereafter becomes boredom; these parents would have spent their own life times nursing, nurturing, and nourishing their children, and the oldies become now 'unwanted', and burdensome.

This, I myself have seen happening in my close quarter of relatives and friends; and I felt terribly upset; and I could never unearth any plausible reason!
