OLD OR YOUNG
“So, how many years young did you turn today?” a friend asked on my birthday.
“43 years old” I replied.
“You mean 43 years young.” She said.
It got me wondering ‘Why this fear of being old? We do not even want to use the word old!!’
Seriously, nothing is going to change the fact that we are growing old by the day. In terms of age, nothing will stop the process of growing old.
Yes, if you are using the terms old and young to mean state of mind, it is a different matter altogether.
But on your birthday, you turn a certain number of years old, not young. Live with it.
