The Lucky One... (Story in 100 words)
Sitting in the jogger’s track of the city lake, almost opposite each other, were two girls in their early twenties. The one sitting on the bench with her girlfriends was a simpleton wearing salwar kurta with braided hair. Whereas, the other was smoking, wore shorts, spaggetti top, leather jacket, was surrounded by male friends.
The braided girl felt envious of the other, feeling unlucky, caged and repressed herself. Moments later, the other girl threw her cigarette butt, started her bike and took with her the blackish blue bruises under her leather jacket, which her stepfather gifted her the previous night.
