બળબળતા તડકે સુકાય રસ્તા,
ઝાકળથી રાતે ભીંજાય રસ્તા.
જુઓ ખીણમાં સામે શિખર પર,
ઘરની બારીએ ડોકાય રસ્તા.
આ નગરનું ટેરવું હાથમાં લઇ,
પૂછો ક્યાં લઇ જાય રસ્તા.
પગના તળીએ લીપાય દિવસભર,
પથારીની કોરે ખંખેરાય રસ્તા.
ડોશીની પરબે પાણી પી ને,
હાશ! કરી જાય રસ્તા.
