🌿 The Silent Givers 🌿
One quiet afternoon, a little boy sat under a mango tree.
Looking at its branches heavy with fruits, he asked,
“Tree, you give so many sweet mangoes,
yet you never taste even one… Why?”
The tree swayed gently and replied,
“My joy lies in giving, not keeping.”
Curious, the boy walked to a nearby river.
“River,” he asked, “you give water to everyone—
the birds, the animals, the people—
but you never drink even a drop yourself… Why?”
The river’s ripples shimmered in the sunlight.
“Because my purpose is to quench the thirst of others.”
That evening, as the sun painted the sky in gold,
the boy’s heart understood a quiet truth—
God, too, gives us life not to keep for ourselves,
but to flow like rivers in kindness,
and to stand like trees in generosity.
💬 The greatest purpose of life is to live for others.
